What we help with
CLINICAL SCOPE
You do not need to know the diagnosis before you ask for help.
MHAI is designed for people who know that something is not right but are uncertain about the cause, the level of help required or the best route forward.
At launch, the service may focus on a defined range of non-emergency concerns. Final accepted presentations must be confirmed by the clinical lead.[cite: 1]
Potential areas include:
[cite: 1]- Anxiety and persistent worry
- Health anxiety
- Panic and physical symptoms
- Work and performance anxiety
- Stress and burnout
- Sleep problems
- Low mood and loss of motivation
- Trauma-related symptoms
- Perfectionism and imposter feelings
- ADHD or autism questions
- Relationship between physical and mental health
- Uncertainty about medication or existing treatment
- Therapy that does not appear to be working
- Difficulty choosing the right professional
Sometimes the right next step is not therapy
Your recommendation may involve a GP, psychiatrist, structured psychological treatment, psychotherapy, sleep intervention, workplace change, coaching, neurodevelopmental assessment, practical support or a combination.
