Meet the Team
OUR PEOPLE
Different backgrounds. One shared goal.
Traditional mental health services are usually built around a single practitioner. MHAI is different.
We’ve brought together people with experience in executive leadership, NHS mental health services, psychotherapy and digital innovation because we believe the best outcomes come from combining different perspectives.
Our role isn’t simply to deliver therapy. It’s to help you understand what’s happening, identify the most appropriate treatment, and support you through the journey that follows.

Jonathan Worsley
Founder | Mental Health & AI | Executive Experience
Jonathan founded MHAI after becoming increasingly interested in the way people are already using artificial intelligence to understand their mental health.
For many people, AI is no longer a one-off source of information. They may have spent months discussing anxiety, symptoms, sleep, relationships, behaviour and recurring worries with ChatGPT or another AI. Those conversations can contain an unusually rich history of what has been happening, what the person has tried, what keeps recurring and what remains unresolved.
Jonathan’s interest is in what happens next: how that accumulated history can be used intelligently, safely and selectively to support better human judgement rather than simply being discarded when someone seeks professional help. He is particularly interested in the limitations of AI in mental health—including situations where repeated reassurance or apparently helpful responses may inadvertently reinforce an unhelpful cycle.
His background combines more than twenty years in business, digital technology and leadership with training in integrative psychotherapy and practical experience supporting people with mental-health difficulties. Through MHAI, he is bringing those areas together to explore a more effective relationship between AI and human mental-health support.
His vision for MHAI is simple: Don’t replace AI. Build the best human service around it.

Emma Blakemore
Senior Psychotherapist | Trauma Specialist
Emma brings more than twenty years of experience working within NHS mental health services.
Throughout her career she has supported people experiencing trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, complex presentations and significant life challenges. Her approach combines warmth, compassion and clinical expertise with a commitment to evidence-based care.
Emma has extensive experience delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), helping people recover from traumatic experiences, persistent anxiety and other psychological difficulties.
She believes effective therapy starts with understanding the individual rather than simply treating a diagnosis. Her focus is on helping clients understand what is happening, regain confidence and build lasting recovery.
Emma’s experience provides an important clinical foundation for MHAI’s assessment and treatment recommendations.
Professional registrations and qualifications will be listed here prior to launch.
