Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about how MHAI works, how your data is handled, and what to expect from our service.

Do I have to use AI first?

The initial MHAI journey is designed for people who already have an AI conversation or can use our prompt to prepare a summary. This allows the service to begin with meaningful information rather than a blank intake form.

Will AI diagnose me?

No. AI may help organise information and identify missing questions. Diagnosis and clinical decisions require appropriately qualified human judgement.

Who reads my information?

Only authorised people who need access to deliver the service. The exact roles and access process must be explained before you submit information.

Do I upload my entire ChatGPT history?

No. Share only the conversations or summary relevant to the problem you want help with.

Will I have to tell my story again?

Some clarification will always be necessary. The aim is to avoid making you repeat basic information that has already been provided.

Is MHAI therapy?

Not necessarily. MHAI begins with navigation, review and planning. It may later provide or arrange therapy, medical review, coaching, assessment or another form of support.

Can you diagnose ADHD, autism or another condition?

Only an appropriately qualified professional using an appropriate assessment process can provide a formal diagnosis. MHAI may help identify whether assessment is worth considering and source a suitable provider.

Can you prescribe medication?

Only an appropriately qualified prescriber can prescribe. MHAI may recommend that medication is discussed or arrange access to an appropriate clinician.

Can you guarantee the treatment will work?

No. We can improve the quality of the decision, explain the evidence and review progress. No responsible service can guarantee an individual outcome.

What happens if the first treatment does not work?

Your plan should include review points. MHAI can independently review progress and recommend whether to continue, adapt, combine or change the approach.

Can my employer see my information?

Not unless you explicitly authorise relevant disclosure or disclosure is legally required. Employer-funded access does not automatically give the employer access to your health information.

Is MHAI a crisis service?

No. MHAI does not provide emergency monitoring or immediate crisis response.

How much does it cost?

The final live page will show the price of each stage before payment. Proposed launch prices remain under review.

Can I delete my record?

You can request deletion, but some records may need to be retained for legal, safeguarding, insurance or professional reasons. The live retention policy will explain this.

Can I use a pseudonym?

The health-information workflow can use a client reference, but MHAI may still need accurate identity and contact information for payment, safety, consultation or treatment.

Can you speak to my GP or therapist?

Yes, where appropriate and with your explicit consent.
