Our Standards
GOVERNANCE & TRUST
Human judgement. Clear responsibility.
Trust cannot depend on branding alone. MHAI’s service model must be supported by visible standards.
Clinical governance
Clinical pathways, accepted presentations, safeguarding, escalation, supervision and professional standards are overseen by an appropriately qualified clinical lead.
Qualified professionals
Where a protected or regulated service is required, MHAI checks the relevant professional status and scope of practice.
Evidence awareness
Recommendations should distinguish between well-supported treatments, emerging approaches and interventions with limited or mixed evidence.
Independence
Recommendations should be based on suitability. Commercial relationships and referral payments must be disclosed.
Data minimisation
We request and retain only the information required to deliver the agreed service and meet legal or professional obligations.
Client control
Clients should be able to understand what is held, request correction, obtain an export where appropriate and request deletion subject to legal or clinical retention requirements.
Review
Starting treatment is not the end of the process. MHAI encourages defined review points and action when care is not helping.
Honesty
Mental health is complex. We explain uncertainty and do not promise diagnosis, recovery times or treatment outcomes that cannot be supported.
